"New York Giants TE Martellus Bennett (hamstring) has not been participating in organized team activities because of a hamstring injury. Tight ends coach Mike Pope said Bennett weighed 291 pounds last week and does not think Bennett's legs can support that weight while doing the things the team has asked him to during workouts."

Just move him to Offensive Tackle...

It's awesome that him and choice and that shitty attitude are gone.

Won't miss Bennett at all and I think as the season starts this team won't either.

Parnell can lineup on the edge as an extra blocker if we need it and do the same thing he did.

Coughlin and pope are going to either make Bennett crazy.

Show some respect. The guy did have that cool touchdown reception against the Redskins in 2008.

hope he flames out there

on another note, Jones once said Bennett was a good enough blocker that they could possibly move him to OT. Another 10-15lbs and he might be right

Would anyone be suprised if Bennett didn't make the Giants final 53 and we resigned him, or at least tried to?

At 291 he's definitely got conditioning issues. I'd rather go with Phillips this year, besides, he's not a Garrett guy.

Another thing being that big, and having a hamstring issue, he'll struggle with it throughout the season. No thanks.

Shit, we could resign him and put him in at Center at this rate.
