Martellus Bennett has caught 11 passes this season.

That's only four less than he had all last season.

"I want to touch the ball,'' Bennett said. "The more touches I get the better I play all around.

"I block better when I'm catching the ball. I run routes better when I'm blocking well. I think it all corresponds into my game. So when I'm involved early, it helps me out through the whole game.''

It's clear he has a rapport with quarterback Tony Romo that was missing last season.

"I think me and him personally, we just have a better rhythm,'' Bennett said. "And he knows where I'm going to be and when I'm going to get there.

"I'm used to how he throws the ball now. The first year I was kind of like where's it going to be. He wasn't used to me running the routes the way I run routes because me and (Jason) Witten are totally different. But I think it's something I tried to improve with him this off season.

"So I think that's the No. 1 thing with me and him.''
