Like Phillips asa receiver and he runs good routes with good hands, but he is really mediocre at blocking. Bennett is really good at blocking. Wish we could somehow merge those two guys together.

I never understood why we drafted him in the first place. We had a viable backup in Fasano and then traded him away only to draft another TE in the 2nd round who was just going to be a backup to Witten.
And now to top it off, the guy is just a lackadaisical buffoon who makes zero contributions and looks like he'd rather be anywhere than on the field trying to win a game. And now that we also have Phillips I see zero reason to still have this guy here, other than he's a former high pick.

Agree on both. I think Bennett had 5 or 6 inches of height on that DB. If Romo throws that ball up in the air more I think it would have been a TD.

That said, Bennett wasnt moving around all that great, looked like he was really lumbering with that high ankle sprain.

You are right. Romo should have floated that ball high to Bennett instead of rifling it at his face. Bennett should have caught it anyways but Romo needs to work on touch in the endzone. How many picks has he thrown there because he tries to rifle the ball through coverage instead of floating it where only the TE can reach?
