I loved barber. Everything I love about players.....quiet, ignored the media, played hard and loved the game.

He was exciting. I wish him well.

Everyone always mis-read his style. He wasn't a power back, even though he had a nose for the end zone. He was a set you up and then bounce it out back - so once he lost that half step seemingly right after that Arizona game where he brought us back with that phenomenal catch and run, he couldn't do what made him so successful anymore. Teams were also probably able to really scheme against his physical limitations, if you held your contain against him with our terrible Oline he wasn't going for more than two yards no matter what.

very exciting runner, sorry his career was so short but he was great to watch when he was at his best.

I remember that first game he started in oct of 05 when julius was hurt at texas stadium against Arizona. he made a bunch of big runs and broke a bunch of tackles and absolutely electrified the crowd. Roy williams absolutely pummeled the dude playing qb for the cards that day...cant remember his name...him and his brother were qbs....

anyway. that was the day when marion the barbarion was born. I remember bledsoe raving about him after the game and how much of a spark he created on the field for them...

Good. Not only was he a ridiculously overpaid dime-a-dozen back, but that whole travel uniform thing last season still sticks in my craw. I won't miss him and am excited to see our stable moving forward.

We're far removed from the season, at least in my eyes, when the sight of Marion Barber in the line-up pissed me off to no end. So I'm kind of ambivalent now about him getting cut, which is weird. But I know I would go back to fits of rage if we kept him. Only way to get him out of the lineup is to get rid of him, which we finally did.

Just seeing him on the field before the 1st snap of the game pissed me off.

marion barbers twitter picture changed to him in a suit and all you see is his neck down....basically his shirt and tie are centered...

Maybe I am reading too much into that, but this seems like a dig on garrett for the not wearing a tie thing!!
