Listening to Archer on espn 103.3 and he just said he doesnt think there is any way on mario williams or carl nicks....he also said he was told that carl nicks is not a jason garrett type guy....so no way to him..

He said to keep Ben Grubbs in mind and that we would almost for sure sign a corner.

he predicted we would sign 3 starters and 2 reserve players in free agency.

Seriously though, as talented as Nicks is, his main focus is to be the highest paid guard in the league. And he's been quiet vocal about it.

I understand everyone wants to get paid, but something about reading a guy say over and over and over again that all he cares about is money just rubs me the wrong way.

I also read that Baltimore offered Grubbs a "substantial" deal. That was this morning. No word if he accepted or anything.

Just give me DeCastro, and sign some mid-tier guard who fits what Callahan wants, on the cheap.

I wouldn't mind Grubbs and Carr.

Apparently we're not getting Williams or Nicks through several sources, and the latest cap hit.

I also wouldn't mind Carlos Rogers but he did have a great pass rush to make him look good this past year.

He's a taller corner and can jump with the taller receivers.

Ditto. And then draft DeCastro. I'd be fine with an Oline that had DeCastro and Grubbs as the interior.

Yeah, his "pay me" shit has really turned me off lately.

Go swell up on meats and cheeses for some other team, fuck head.

Nicks just has that fat face you wanna punch.

I'd rather go after Grubbs. He's going to cost less. Fuck off Nicks.

Yup. That would be a pretty good scenario. Our interior line would be killer.

Not that it wouldn't with Nicks and DeCastro, but it would still be good.

Grubbs and Decastro would be nice. Or Grubbs and Konz

What is a "Garrett type guy" anyway?

So he's good enough for a coach who sets offensive records and wins Superbowls, but not good enough for one who blows historic leads and ices his own kicker.

Got it.

No idea.

Garret picked Martellus bennett over team first fasano, he signed off on moron Roy Williams and he wanted brad Johnson.

So if nicks is not his type of guy what does e do wrong? Bang hookers in the locker room?

Geoff Schwartz, G/T
While Schwartz didn’t play last year, we haven’t forgotten about him. A superb 2010 in Carolina saw him fill in at both right tackle and right guard and perform so well at both you would trust him at either spot. A genuine head scratcher as to why Carolina wouldn’t tender a talented lineman

Yep.

Keith Brooking, Martellus Bennett, Anthony Spencer and Abe Elam.

Those are Garrett guys.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembered him wanting Marty B.

And I really wasn't even taking a shot at Garrett but at Archer. He generally does a good job and I like him because he's one of the least biased (and more intelligent) members of the DFW media, but he's been all over JG's jock to a ridiculous extent. I'm sure Garrett would take Nicks in a heartbeat, or at least I hope he would.
