Just had a chance to visit with some folks with the Cowboys and it sounds like Sean Lee suffered a dislocated wrist.

Lee is going to see a specialist today to determine what needs to be done going forward. Garrett speaks later sure we won't learn anything.

Obviously, this is a MAJOR blow to our defense.

The good news is, we have a cupcake game against Seattle coming up.

So hopefully Carter can get some reps in before we play the Bills.

I don't see how Carter could be worse then the combination of james/brooking

I didnt either, I was surprised they didnt let him have a single snap on defense, especially once the game was obviously out of reach.

James and Brooking must age in dog years. I knew their play had declined but watching that last night I can't say I can ever recall such a futile display of running and tackling in my entire life. The defense played bad as a whole but one was leading the parade and the other was twirling the baton.

depends I guess, It would make sense that surgery could be the end but I dont see him being out for the year yet.

(Surgery) Hope that is not the case. Dislocations or separations have different classifications / grades. If it's minor and no structural damage he can be treated with immobilization and rest. But if there is structural damage with tendon or ligament damage and concern over long term stability issues with the wrist then he is going under the knife in some form or fashion.

i dont think so, I bet if he has a grip and gets a good cast we will see him when we go to washington or so.

I'd have to go back and check, but isnt a dislocated wrist what ended the seasons recently for Nick Barnett and Brian Urlacher?

I still havent heard an update on what the MRI said though and Jenkins had an MRI too apparently.

I am not sure on those guys dbair.

Garrett talks in a minute here, I am sure he will say they are day to day.

Even in a full body cast, there day to day.

Garrett said still waiting on results of the lee MRI, mumbled something on mcbriar and said Jenkins has a hamstring injury.

So I have no idea what that means.

Injury update: Sean Lee unsure if he'll play

IRVING -- The Cowboys have serious injuries to starting inside linebacker Sean Lee and starting cornerback Mike Jenkins.

Lee has a dislocated left wrist and said he's not sure if he'll play Sunday vs. the Seattle Seahawks. Lee hurt the wrist trying to tackle Michael Vick in the first half of Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Lee will try to play with a cast and noted he doesn't need surgery at this time saying it's, "not an option". If he underwent surgery his season could be over.

Jenkins suffered a right hamstring injury in the third quarter and played through it until he had to leave in the fourth. Jenkins said he could miss three to four weeks because of the injury.

Punter Mat McBriar has nerve damage in his left (non-kicking) foot which prevents him from planting when attempting kicks. He re-injured the foot during the Eagles game and the Cowboys turned to Dan Bailey to take over the punting duties in the second half.

The long term replacement for McBriar is Chris Jones, who was signed to the practice squad last Friday as a precaution.

If Lee can't play vs. Seattle, expect Bradie James and Keith Brooking to resume their starting roles together for the first time since last season. Lee had taken over the starting spot of Brooking. James also saw limited snaps because he was sharing them with Brooking.

The Cowboys would also need to get rookie Bruce Carter ready to play more on defense Sunday with Lee out or limited with the injury. Carter has a limited knowledge of the defensive package and would have to be given more this week in practice. The Cowboys also have Orie Lemon on the practice squad, who can also move up to the active roster.

With Jenkins out, Orlando Scandrick returns to a starting role alongside Terence Newman. Scandrick started the first two games of the season when Newman was out with a groin injury.
