Skins are reluctant to franchise him and are unwilling to give him a long term deal. According to a report I read, Landry will most likely have to accept a 1 year show me deal.

Clearly we have a major hole at safety. Our secondary is atrocious and is in dire need of a playmaker. When healthy, which is isn't often, Landry is a force on the field.

I don't really have an opinion one way or the other. What do you guys think?

1 year, show me deal at safety sounds right up our alley.

If we want to make Sensy a backup, signing Landry would do it.

UH NO! When will some of you fools LOOK beyond the name on the jersey? The guy has Achilles' tendon issues, which are chronic. The fact that he is getting older, and the abuse of steroids is catching up with him...NO. He's finished.

The fact that the Redskins themsevles do not want to commit long term to him, should tell you EVERYTHING.

Laz is right, Landry has had some health issues but Ryan very much wants a strong safety who plays like Landry. In the box, run support, crushing hitter type. Could you imagine him on the safety blitz? No pussy-footing like Sensabaugh.

Judd Garrett raved about him on that scouting video from the last time we played the skins.

He fits right into that parcells profile of giving 1st rounders a second chance.

I wouldn't complain. Go get better...

Is macintosh ufa? Or does he have a year left. If they were to cut him if he isn't a ufa he fits the mold too.

His athletic ability might help us immediately.

Rocky McIntosh? He is an UFA. I was just thinking about him (reading the link Bob just posted) as a depth/competition for Bruce Carter signing.

I don't want to get into the whole sources thing but I also believe the Cowboys pro scouting staff is very high on Landry.

Also, theebs what is this show you mentioned in another thread with the Stephen Jones interview? Is it on a local Dallas station or a Fox Sports affiliate? Can you post the video?

I'd imagine the Redskins pushing hard to keep McIntosh considering both he and London Fletcher are UFAs.

Stupid iPad auto corrects stuff like that all the time.

Landry would make alot of sense.

the show is special edition with Jerry jones and yes it's on CBS 11 here locally. I always record it but last night I didn't. Forgot to turn the computer on.

When he's healthy, he's a difference maker.

Problem is, he's rarely healthy anymore.

And I don't think that is going to change as he gets older.

Agreed. He has an Achilles issue, he'll never be the same player. No thanks.

I'll pass...I want a guy who can cover.

I'm the biggest advocate of improved safety play but at least Landry blitzes and plays the run exceptionally well. As opposed to Sensabaugh, Elam, and Church who do nothing well.

Sure, in comparison to who you are mentioning he is an upgrade, but overall that would be like shit telling puke it stinks.
