LaRon Landry blames the Skin's "circus" staff for slow recovery

A "person close to the situation" has told the Washington Post that Redskins SS LaRon Landry (Achilles, hamstring) will be inactive for Sunday's opener.
Landry also appeared to blame his slow recovery on team doctors in a Tuesday tweet. "Uuhhh oo it ain’t my fault...blame the genius circus staff for the rush. Wouldve been there 2wks ago. Im (sorry) but saga (continues)." The message has since been deleted. HC Mike Shanahan said on Monday that a decision on Landry's status would not be reached until "just before game time," but all signs are pointing toward him being inactive.

I think he has that same issue with his Achilles, that forced Shaq to retire. You a DB and having Achilles issues is not a good thing. This is a chronic issue with him.

I agree, but I in a sense think it'll affect him less because he's a down hill safety, as opposed to a DB that traditionally backpeddles and covers.

Landry is at his best in the box wreaking havok.

How this injury affects that remains to be seen. Hopefully it keeps him out until after week 3 though.

I understand what you are saying, but it's clearly giving him problems RIGHT NOW. Even when running forward, you still have to push off and forward which involves your Achilles.

It will only be a matter of time before Shanny cuts him lose if he keeps his mouth running. Or if Snyder allows him to even think about it.
