HOUSTON -- The Dallas Cowboys lost starting left guard Kyle Kosier to a right knee sprain with 11:41 to play in the fourth quarter of their 27-13 victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Kosier was replaced in the lineup by Montrae Holland.

It's the second time this year Kosier injured his right knee. He suffered a sprained MCL in mid-August and missed the regular-season opener at Washington. He made his season debut last week against Chicago.

Kosier will undergo an MRI exam Monday to determine the extent of his injury. The Cowboys are off next week.

Cornerback Mike Jenkins (bruised knee) and tight end Jason Witten (concussion), who left last week's game with injuries, started and didn't have any issues with their health Sunday.

Jenkins had an interception and Witten led the team in catches with seven for 56 yards.

Rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant, who was limited in practice this week because of sore ribs, also played and had no problems. Bryant had four catches for 50 yards.

Hopefully Kosier will be ok, but Holland has played very well when he's been in there.

Colombo's play was very encouraging IMO today. He had his best game in a long time I thought. And Doug Free is gonna make some probowls in comings years.

Hopefully Colombo just needed more time back in the saddle to get comfortable again.

I've been encouraged by the pass protection so far. Garrett is helping his guys by calling the shorter routes early on to get the lines feet underneath them, and Romo does them a lot of favors with his feel for pressure and the ability to get away from it, but they've only gave up one sack, two if you take the grounding call today for what it was.

I was impressed yesterday, they played a lot better, especially Colombo. I think Holland could fill in for Kosier but I hope he's not out for the year.

The line played well. I was especially impressed with the tackle play.

It was a gutsy move to release Adams, but once again . . . we made the right decision in cutting age/name to go with youth.

Regarding Koiser . . . this has to be his last year here, as a starter, at least. He's weak in the knees like SWV.

Fuck, that, I know what you meant, but, that credit goes to Jerry Jones and Co. ..

And that NEEDS TO BE KNOWN. What a shock, maybe they actually DO KNOW something about this game.

He is a free agent after this year.

We're one of the better run franchises in the league . . . and Jerry Jones has a lot to do with that.

Right . . . but he'd be good depth, IMO. I'd be open to re-signing him as a back up.
