Not familiar with these at all, sorry, but I have heard they are definitely worth the money.

My sister has one and loves it. I guess you can load a ton of movies, books and songs to it.

My stepson got one for Christmas, it depends on what you want to do with it. It isn't as awesome as an iPad but it is much cheaper.

There's still a few bugs they're working out on this first generation. Plus, the screen size is only 7" apparently. If you go to amazon and feel like reading the reviews, there are some really great non-biased ones that'll help you figure it all out. Personally, I would wait till the next version is released, or at least until ipad 3 comes out. Also, def. consider an amazon prime membership if you're gonna go the kindle route.

Just so you know. I have an iPad and it's pretty awesome. My only bitch is the sensitivity on the keypad. It can be frustrating at times.

I made a mistake of smacking it with my hand and chipped the screen with my ring, thank god it was covered.

Kindle Fire 2 (and Amazon's 10-inch tablet)

The Kindle Fire's been a big hit and it isn't even that great. Just imagine what the Kindle Fire 2 will be like. And oh, Amazon may well release a 10-inch tablet that undercuts the iPad's price significantly. Can't wait for that to happen.

iPad 3

Everybody's waiting--and expecting--an iPad 3 with a higher-resolution display. If the past is any indication, hear all about it in February or March, with a release soon after.
