Staying healthy - For a few key guys in particular. Murray, Lee, Dez, Miles, Ware and Romo. It will be interesting to see how durable Murray and Lee end up being over the course of their career.

Adequate performance from the OL - Need to see if the new additions (including Callahan) can improve the overall performance of the group. Need someone to step up at guard and center.

Playcalling - Both offensive and defensive. I'd like to go a whole season where the DC doesn't have to "simplify" the defense half way through the season. Garrett needs to get more consistent and really needs to improve red zone performance.

Safety play - Can some combination of Pool, Sensabaugh, Church and Johnson perform well enough?

Rookie performance - The team could use some significant contributions from the rookie class. Mainly Claiborne, Crawford and Johnson

3rd WR - Someone needs to step up and win that job.

What else?

I'll throw in Dez needing to be a complete WR in year 3. That would be huge for the offense. Taking some pressure off of Miles would be nice also, let him be good. Dez needs to be great.

Game management.

Me and this guy finally agree on something. Except game management is only a portion of it.

This season rests on the shoulders of Garrett. First things first, he has to be a better game manager.

This team needs to be tougher, better prepared, and more disciplined. At the end of the day, Garrett needs to be a better leader of this team. If he can lead this group at an elite level, this team has a shot

CowboysRMX touched on this, but someone has to emerge as a legit thread opposite Ware. Be it Spencer, Butler, or Wilber. One of them has to be counted on to exploit favorable match ups and notch at least 8 to 10 sacks.

Another would be the focus of Romo. Emphasis on smart plays, game management, and not taking unneccessary risks.

Hold the ball high and tight when running with it inside the 5 yard line when the team is up 7 midway through the 4th. Even if you don't get in, just getting a field goal and taking a 10 point lead against a Sanchez-led team is huge. Don't force throws when up big against a Lions team you've dominated all day. No need to give them life.

Starting fast.

We need to come out of that first 6 out of 9 on the road above .500

It would do wonders for this team if they win the opener and get the confidence level up. Beating ny and chicago early would be huge.

Play better defense and get turnovers. We can all talk pass rush till we are blue in the face but it's turnovers we need. We are going to score and if we get turnovers we are going to score a ton.

Also, the punting job needs to be solidified during camp. We can't be signing a new punter every month during the season.

You dont even need to get the sacks. Just disrupt what the opposing team is doing. Pressure is just as good as a sack. Hurrying up the throws

Staying healthy. If we can keep our key guys healthy, namely: Romo, Dez, Murray, Felix, Witten, Austin, Ware, Ratliff, Lee, Claiborne and Carr, we can do some damage down the stretch. Also the OL has to stay healthy as we have zero depth.
