I think it's been pretty well laid out for us, even though it's still maddenly confusing.

A defensive player is likely going to be our 1st round choice as we brought in a bunch of top 15-18 graded players there on personal visits. And which normally tend to be our 1st round picks (players we invite to Dallas that is). The confusing part is that it could be either a DL (quite a few to choose from), OLB (Upshaw) or S (Barron).

We're targeting quite a few 2nd/3rd round caliber OLinemen, more than any other 2nd/3rd round rated position. So that likely is going to be our 2nd selection. Probably could see a trade up for Konz in the high 2nd, or back into late in the 1st round, seeing as how we added two OGs in free agency, but 0 competition for Costa. Also brought in Konz to Dallas on a personal visit.

3rd round is probably going to be a CB. Brought in 3rd/4th round rated guys such as Jamell Fleming, Casey Hayward, and Ron Brooks could potentially slide up into that area. Also, Rob Ryan said at the Senior Bowl that he was looking at nothing but DBs. So we could spend a couple of our choices in that area.

Beyond that, it's a crapshoot as the rest of our visits were late round/pfa area guys.

What's interesting is that we've been trying our hardest to get that 2nd TE in here, and the only marquee player in this draft from that position we've shown legitimate interest in is Coby Fleener. Who is slated to go anywhere from the middle of the 1st to the latter portion of said round. So whatever they have planned there in this draft has been kept extremely well hidden. Or they just wanted to get a feel for Fleener and don't see much value anywhere else.

On a side-note, I have a stinking feeling that we're going to draft Cal P Bryan Anger, who is slated to go in the middle of the draft. I don't know why, but it's in the pit of my stomach right now.

Then we have media members dropping their nuggets, which basically involves just the 1st round. Names including Upshaw, Poe, Brockers and Barron being dropped.

Any other keys to mapping out what Dallas might do in the draft that I missed?

Mapping beyond the 2nd or third round is pointless. I believe at that point, the team is just going with players they like that match what we're trying to do here.

We've tossed around a lot of the usual names (Josh Chapman, Tank Carder, etc etc) but it wouldn't suprise me one bit if most of our day three selections are players we immediately have to google to find out who they are.

Thinking most of our visits being late round/pfa guys is keying us in to the possbility of some massive trade ups?

So...like all of our drafts.

I haven't seen too accurate a list of who we've had in for visits.

I know Brockers, Barron, Upshaw, DeCastro, Cox.

Doug Martin was supposed to.

Bunch of Texas day guys, like Nick Stephenson.

Haven't seen a compiled list.

But no, I really don't see us trading back into the first or anything ridiculous. Maybe if Konz fell far enough. Or Fleener, but I don't see Fleener getting past #34.

I linked the list the other day.

I think they like Konz and Blake. I could see them moving up for Konz or, if they missed out on him, panicking and picking Philip Blake too early.

The majority of the list has been posted a couple different times. Props for paying attention.
