EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Giants tight end Kevin Boss has been ruled out for this Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts with a concussion.

While he would not comment on the severity of the concussion, coach Tom Coughlin ruled Boss out on Wednesday.

The team signed tight end Bear Pascoe off its practice squad this week. Pascoe and Travis Beckum are the team's only healthy tight ends on the roster.

Boss suffered his second concussion in less than a year last Sunday in the Giants' 31-18 win over the Carolina Panthers when he was hit in the back of the helmet on an overthrown pass.

The Giants will also practice without defensive end Osi Umenyiora and wide receiver Hakeem Nicks on Wednesday.

Umenyiora has a knee issue which Coughlin called "wear and tear" and Nicks is dealing with an ankle injury he suffered during the win over the Panthers. Coughlin said Nicks injured his ankle during the game but continued to play on it. He scored three touchdowns against the Panthers.

Cornerback Aaron Ross will go through a full practice on Wednesday for the first time since injuring his plantar fasciitis late in the preseason.
