Defensive tackle Pat Williams doesn't care for accusations that Minnesota ran up the score against the Cowboys in their playoff game, telling reporters the other day that if linebacker Keith Brooking, "wants to cry like a little baby, he'll cry like a little baby but we aren't worried about what he's saying.''
Brooking responded Friday.
"Good for him,'' the Cowboys linebacker said. "Good for Pat and his feelings about me. You would think Pat would have this figured out by now, but I'm worried about this year.''
The war of words that could have erupted this week has been muted by the fact both teams enter the game at 1-3. But there have been a few brushfires in recent days.
"When toe meets leather Sunday, the last thing that is going to be going through my mind when I go out there with our defense is we've got to get them back because they ran up the score,'' Brooking said. "I'm worried about executing our defense and playing the best I can play.
"That (playoff game) will no enter my mind at all before the game or during the game. It's a non-factor.''
