Keith Brooking back out on the practice field, but status for Sunday's game unclear

Rainer Sabin / Reporter

Linebacker Keith Brooking appeared at practice Friday, but whether he participated in a full session or was limited won't be revealed until later today.

"He's done more than [running back] Marion [Barber] has been able to do," coach Jason Garrett said Friday. "But he's in the same situation."

Brooking, who has played in 155 consecutive games, has been bothered by a sprained left foot. But it appears that if Brooking wants to play he will at least have the opportunity to state his case for why he should.

"With a guy like that he gets the benefit of the doubt," Garrett said. "He's a veteran guy. We'll have those discussions and see how he progresses in the next couple of days."

F that.

I don't want him hobbling around the field, start Sean Lee in his place or whatever.

It's time to start Sean Lee.

Then next week will probably be time to look for his injury replacement, but still.

Hey, what better time to find out if his knees can hold up.
