Finally was able to watch it on TV, totally different perspective thats for sure.
Some things I didnt change my opinion of, but there were a few things I saw which make me more encouraged than discouraged:
1) They noted during the broadcast that the Seahawks defense led the league in yds per rush allowed and that no RB had gained 100+ on them this year. Murray blew by 100 and our run blocking was pretty damn good.
2) The red zone offense has got to improve, but we still came close to blowing this one away fairly early. On the first redzone possession Tanner had a solid 3yd gain on 1st and goal from the 8. On the 2nd down play Romo tried to throw to Austin in the backright corner, and it was incomplete. Appeared to be the same route Austin scored on in the Niners game (Kitna TD). They'll see on tape that Romo had Fiametta wide open for a walk in TD just beyond the LOS and to the right, he just didnt look at him. I suspect in coming weeks they'll start calling some plays where Fiametta is a legit option on some goalline play action pass plays. Teams are definitely using multiple guys on Witten when we are close.
3) On the next red zone possession, Murray just missed scoring on the long run from 22 yds out. They tried a play action from the tight formation on first down (well covered). More times than not thats probably an easy TD on first down, it was just really well covered here.
4) Bryant fumbled just short of the GL on the next possession. It was probably a play that should have been penalized (thus keeping the ball). At this point we could have easily been up 21-3 instead of being tied 6-6 at the end of the next possession.
5) The pass rush was a little better than I initially thought, although I still am shocked we didnt sack Jackson more. He definitely came close to being sacked 3 or 4 times and a couple of those dumb throws under pressure resulted in picks. Spencer probably had his best game of the year in terms of rushing.
6) Spectacular play by Spencer on the blocked FG.
7) OL other than a couple of plays really played well.
