It was a pretty rocky start to the offseason, but things have been all quiet on the Dez Bryant front for the most part these last two months, which has some within Valley Ranch breathing easier.

There had been questions about Bryant's ability to conduct himself properly while away from the structure football provides during the lockout, and also some worries over his commitment to the game when he didn't show up at the team facility during the one-day break in the lockout over draft weekend.

However, in attending the team's players-only workouts and keeping his name out of the headlines of late, Bryant has alleviated some of those fears.

Speaking to the NFL Network at the owners meetings last week, Jerry Jones said he believes Bryant is on the right path because of pressure from his teammates.

"I'm not concerned," Jones said. "I think that Dez does have accountability right now, not only within himself, but also to his teammates. And at the end of the day, those two constituencies, Dez himself as well as his teammates, are the ones that are going to make the biggest difference in his life.

"So he's in the right area for the right type of influence, and I think that will have a positive impact."

I still say he's going to murder someone before he makes a probowl.

only accountability i care about is him knowing the damn playbook.

Yeah. It'd be nice if we don't have to point him in the right direction when we break the huddle this year.

All I know about Dez's supposed desire and love of the game is he stopped attending position meetings when he went on IR. This was reported by at least a couple of the DMN writers.

It would seem to me it might be a good idea for a s l o w learner like Dez to get as much coaching time as possible. Whether or not he's going to play the rest of the year.

He shouldn't have even been allowed to not attend. But that's what happens when an oil salesman pretends he's your GM.

Same.

Off the field stuff doesn't bother me as much, just as long as it's not major stuff that'll get him suspended.

Just know the offense and score TDs.

Yeah, Thats why i say if Arizona, Tampa, Minnesota went to Dallas asking about Dez in swaps from Fitz, MIke Williams, or Rice i would happy Dallas would jump all over it.

I like Dez and i think he's good. But i just think the guy isnt dedicated to learning. More for the fame and money rather then putting in a total effort
