Because Of Unsigned Indictment

The unsealing of the four-page indictment 14 years after the grand jurors convened revealed that they voted to charge both John and Patsy Ramsey with child abuse resulting in death and being an accessory to a crime, including first-degree murder of their daughter, though never directly accusing them of killing her. Being convicted of "knowingly and recklessly" causing child abuse resulting in death is a Class 2 felony that could have carried a sentence of four to 48 years in prison, though the three-year statute of limitations had long expired by the time the public ever heard about the indictment.

My guess is the parents covered for the older brother. One of the details that came out later was that little Jon was penetrated by a finger. Creepy ass brother was curious. He could have become frustrated with all the attention his beauty queen baby sister was receiving.

No?

He ended up being just a crazy child molester that had nothing to do with the Benet case.

My girlfriends dad looks just like that creep. He loves kids too.

I'm just waiting for his liver to explode. Just like Jerry.

She's actually your common-law wife.

You know if you think about it; you aren't that much different than the blacks that you profess to loathe...

Yeah, I might as well call her my wife.

I don't profess to loathe blacks. There's a distinction between the people I loathe and the rest. We all know the saying. I don't have to repeat it.

If you could pack your shit tomorrow and leave without her getting half, you aren't even close to being married.

The rules differ by state. For instance in Kansas the two parties must sign power of attorney for each other. There are only ten states that recognize common law marriage. I do not believe Jon's state recognizes it, but then again I am not a high powered attorney. Maybe Pep knows.

Most states that recognize common law marriages don't have a time requirement to be deemed married. And I've never heard of a state requiring a power of attorney be signed in order to be married.... sounds like an obscure requirement.

Looks like you can't enter into a common law marriage in Louisiana, but that state's laws are pretty fucked up (French influence vs. English like the rest of the country), so I would get a Louisiana lawyer to answer that question.
