Quarterback Jon Kitna said Dez Bryant is not to blame for the two communication breakdowns they had against the Saints. Bryant was targeted six times but finished without a reception.

On two passes that fell incomplete, Bryant went one way and Kitna threw another.

``I was wrong on the first one,'' Kitna said. ``The second one was there's a little bit of trying to read and react there. That kind of stuff's going to happen. Unfortunately it just happened at a critical time. it happens every week in this league, and we weren't able to hook up, and like I said, I take full responsibility for that.''

Asked if Bryant's inexperienced contributed to route mixups, Kitna said, ``I was wrong, he was right. The other one, it wasn't his fault. It was nobody's fault. It just happens in this league. There are a lot of things that go into being a rookie, but he was right, I was wrong. Try to be right this week.

After making 22 receptions in the previous four games, Bryant had difficulty getting open against the Saints. Being the focus of a defense is something he'll need to become accustomed to, given his big-play ability.

"One of the things he can learn is the attention he's going to get going forward," interim coach Jason Garrett said. "He's probably had that since he was at Lufkin High School. People know who Dez Bryant is, and he's certainly shown people in this league so far that he's worthy of some attention.''
