David Moore / Reporter

John Garrett, who interviewed earlier this week for an offensive coordinator opening in Miami, will remain with the Cowboys and become the team's passing coordinator.

Garrett has served as the team's tight ends coach since 2007 when he returned to the NFL from a three-year stint at the University of Virginia. Jason Garrett will handle the dual role of head coach and offensive coordinator in 2011 and will call the plays. His brother, John, will handle some of the preparation that Jason will be unable to concentrate on as head coach in the days leading up to the game.

Good I want to keep the Garrett's together.

It's the defense I want all new blood on the coaching staff.

Exactly. I do believe that in the near future, John will be an OC and eventually an HC.

I would think this would mean we'd have a running game coordinator too.

Maybe not.

Really.

It's looking like Houck is sticking around another year.

Yeah I know. SUCKS! It'll be progress though if we get rid of Davis and Colombo. Heard good things about Dan Campbell the assistant Oline coach.
