The Cowboys have a bye week, but the Tony Romo bashing is still in vogue.
In the wake of Romo's turnover-laden second half in Dallas' collapse against Detroit, one writer compiled a list of six quarterbacks he believes would be better than Romo to quarterback America's Team.
Deion Sanders, an analyst for the NFL Network, offered his Prime Time opinion, saying Romo is not the QB to get the Cowboys to the Super Bowl.
Former Cowboys great Drew Pearson even chimed in on Dirk Nowitzki's support for Romo after the meltdown vs. Detroit.
Thursday, former Redskins quarterback Joe Theismann, an analyst for the NFL Network, ripped Romo on NFL.com's Dave Dameshek Football Program.
Theismann called Romo "average" and added that the Cowboys need to find a replacement.
"Tony Romo continues to do things to hurt his football team," Theismann said. "He doesn't understand how to play the quarterback position. Somebody had to say it, and I just said it. Tony, you have to start proving to everyone you understand football. You're doing things that Pop Warner kids would get benched for."
