SportsDay columnist Jean-Jacques Taylor answers a reader's questions about a topic of the day.

Question: If you were shelling out the bucks for a ticket, wouldn't you want to see the "real" players and not the young guys? Also, what if the Giants and Eagles are still neck and neck for the division title at the end of the season? Would resting the starters be a disservice to the Giants and the league? It's not nearly so neat and simple to say the Cowboys should start the young players.

Jean-Jacques Taylor: The franchise's primary responsibility is to itself. If that's bad for other division rivals, then too bad. The obligation is to do whatever it can to make the franchise better. If that's giving a few young players who have earned playing time in practice a chance to show what they can do in games, then fine. Teams that put themselves in position to need help from others have no right to complain. You have to take care of your own business. I think the Cowboys should look at a few players who have earned the opportunity to play in games, regardless of how that affects the Giants, Eagles or the NFC East.
