SportsDay columnist Jean-Jacques Taylor answers a reader's questions about a topic of the day.

Question:

Recently the Sporting News had their mid season polls as taken by players & personal around the league. Two of the subjects were: "most disappointing player" & "most overrated". Tony Romo & Brett Favre were voted one & two for each. Your thoughts?

Jean-Jacques Taylor: I think that’s a lot ado about nothing. You can be a good player and be overhyped. Eli Manning comes to mind. He’s a good quarterback, but he’s not nearly as good as most folks think he is, which makes him overhyped. When you’re the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys you’re going to get a ton of media attention. And when you have just one playoff win in 4+ seasons as a starter, then it’s not a surprise that Romo falls into the overhyped category. That said, I think he’s one of the top 10 quarterbacks in the NFL.
