Jerry promises changes are coming

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FORT WORTH — After watching the New York Giants beat the Atlanta Falcons in Sunday's NFC wild card game, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told News 8 he was ready to make some changes.
His team would have been playing the Falcons if they had been able to beat the Giants last week. Instead, Jones watched the game on TV.
He and wife Gene were at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth Sunday evening, attending a private screening of "Albert Nobbs," a new film starring Glenn Close.
"I had hoped to come to this wonderful night rushing from our stadium," Jones said. "You just realize when you're watching these playoffs how important it is, and I really hated for our fans as much as I do my feelings, because it's just a different game when you get in the playoffs."
Jones added that he was "proud" of the Giants for "peaking at the right time," but he also pledged that things won't be status quo at Valley Ranch after Dallas' disappointing finale.
"We'll make some changes; I'll assure you we'll make changes," Jones said. "When you work for youself, there's not but one thing to change — that's what's in that mirror."
"I've had to make some pretty drastic changes in my time. The only thing that stays consistent is, I've had this quarterback for 50-something years," Jones said, turning to his wife. "That doesn't change."
The Cowboys owner offered no specifics about what changes might be afoot for the Cowboys.
"We want it to get better every year," Gene Jones said.

Interesting.

Sounds like the price of tours, food and programs will be going up. These are the only changes we really get.

Not sure I buy this is what Jerry said.

Steve Dennis did a piece killing Jerry last night, it was pretty good. He said what I am seeing, people have had it with Jerry. I have never seem it like this and steve said he has not either.....he has been here a few more years than me.

I have no expectations that anything will change. This is the sell time of the year. This is what the jones family does best.

The last time he said something similar to that though, he hired Bill Parecells and put him in charge of all the decision making.

Again I dont even know if this is true, there's no source for it.

Jerry's taken a massive beating since the Giants loss.

Theebs... link or video of that Dennis piece?

Also, 50 years with the same woman would get annoying. I've been married to my wife since 2007 and I want to go all Scott Peterson on her already.

We'll bring in a new position coach or two, sign a handful of mid-to-low tier FA's, several new draft picks will be added to the roster. And there's your change.

Talk about change is one thing and to do something about it is another. To actually have it succeed under Jerry's watch is an entity unto itself. Until obvious changes take place for the better and this stagnate vicious cycle were stuck in improves then it just seems like more hot air.

"As long as Jerry's the football guy, they'll never be back in the Super Bowl."

The last time he said this was the last time we had a shitty year. Last year.

His answer for change was 72 late round scrub lineman, Abe Elam and hiring a head coach that probably cost his team two games by himself.

Oh, I don't want to forget the hidden, almost no name gem, Tyron Smith.

Change!!!!!!! Yes!!!!!!!!
