Miles Austin, Jason Witten, Dez Bryant, Felix Jones, MBIII (when he was good), TO and Terry Glenn are not garbage. Thats alot of talented players he has worked with. And while we can look at the OL's shortcomings the past couple seasons, prior to that it was pretty good for Romo.
I didnt really agree with Jones's statement, but for whatever reason Manning has performed better in the postseason it seems than Romo has.
Uhhh ok. ~CZ rolls eyes smiley~
The OL has been non-existent in Dallas for about 4 straight seasons now. He did nothing to correct the issue after they didn't even make the flight to Minnesota in 2009, and now it has only gotten worse.
12 of the 22 starters on this team are JAGs and they don't have the coaching to help them outperform their skill-set like the Niners had this season.
Our WRs and RBs are just about equal with NY's. Romo had no OL support, and no support from his defense after about week 10 of the season. Much different situations.
Also, you'd have to be fucking AWFUL, and I mean absolutely AWFUL to not be competitive in a playoff run where your D gives up 2 points, 20 points (at Lambeau against what's supposed to be an awesome offense), and then 17 points. Eli is good enough to not lose games like that for his team.
Romo's offense would have had to put up 30+ points in all three of the games that the Giants have played this postseason just to have chance at winning.
I don't mind that the fans are too dumb to realize this, but it's scary and sad that Jerry narrowed it down to QB play. He's spent about 15 years now ignoring the non-glamorous positions, and it clearly looks like nothing will change unless someone beats a little sense into him.
Oh...and Eli also did not have the worst center in the league (not an exaggeration...he was actually rated the worst center in the league possibly ever) attempting to block for him. Wanna know why?! Cuz he was too busy starting for Dallas.
