Jason Witten has concussion; Week 3 in doubt?

05:36 PM CDT on Sunday, September 19, 2010
TODD ARCHER
The clock will start on tight end Jason Witten , who was diagnosed with a concussion in the fourth quarter after he ricocheted between Brian Urlacher and safety Chris Harris.

Witten finished with five catches for 51 yards and was noticeably upset on the sidelines when the doctors determined he could not return.

A player has to be symptom free in order to be able to return

The policy states, "The player should not be considered for return-to-football activities until he is fully asymptomatic, both at rest and after exertion, has a normal neurological examination, normal neuropsychological testing, and has been cleared to return by both his team physician(s) and the independent neurological consultant."

If Witten cannot play next week at Houston, then the Cowboys would be down to one healthy tight end (Martellus Bennett ) and would have to make a roster move. Tight ends Martin Rucker and Scott Chandler are on the practice squad.

Don't care.

Get a backup lineman liquored up before the game and apply some glue to his hands. We won't skip a beat.

Nice,

0-2 and I can see where the chicken littles are already.

We should be down...

We didn't lose to world beaters, we didn't lose to the Colts, Packers or Pats.

We lost to very average teams and looked horrible in doing so.

Just stating what I see, I didn't say it was wrong. I am down, But, never will I give up on the Cowboys, Just seems some are. Maybe they aren't either. Very tough loss yesterday. Lost by the players IMO.
