Getty ImagesProperty in Indiana owned by former NFL player Jason Fabini was raided by the FBI on Thursday, as part of an apparent investigation into his brother’s activities.
Fabini issued a statement saying he is cooperating and doesn’t believe he is a target of any investigation.
“I have cooperated fully with authorities, and will continue to do so. I have not been charged, nor do I expect to be charged with a crime,” he said in the statement, via the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette. “I expect the community will have many questions as rumors circulate and this investigation continues, but I ask that we trust in the authorities to do their job.”
The FBI also raided the home of Fabini’s brother, Michael Fabini, and the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette reports that Michael Fabini’s neighbors have long been suspicious of the activities in his home, which Michael Fabini has expanded to add tunnels and multiple basements totaling 3,691 square feet. The home has surveillance cameras everywhere and what appears to be a commercial-grade generator.
Fabini was an offensive lineman for the Jets, Redskins and Cowboys from 1998 to 2008.
