The father of Texans outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney was arrested early Tuesday morning and charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon in a violent crime following an alleged shooting outside of a strip club in Rock Hill, S.C., Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports. This according to Rock Hill executive officer Mark Bollinger.

The arrest of David “Chilli Bean” Morgan stems from a dispute at the Crazy Horse bar. Clowney’s father allegedly shot an employee of the strip club after he was thrown out for sitting on a stage used by the dancers.

Morgan, 45 years old and listed at 6-5 and 230 pounds, is a convicted felon. He served several years in prison for a litany of crimes, including burglary and assault and battery.

Morgan sustained a gunshot wound to the shoulder and was found at Piedmont Medical Center by police receiving treatment for the injury. Two guns were recovered from the altercation, according to police.

The arrest was first reported by The Rock Hill Herald (S.C.).

If convicted, Morgan could receive as long as a 30-year prison sentence.
