Is this true: Re: Ice Cream Truck drivers

This is something my neighbor mentioned to me a while ago, and he's a reasonably intelligent guy so you'd kinda want to believe him.

Anyway, he said he watched a documentary once about how most ice cream truck drivers are foreigners and that they get lured to America to become "business owners", then get the trucks and have to pay really high leases/fees, and they really live in poverty.

Seems outlandish and all, but again, he's not the kind of guy who bullshits so I don't know. I tried a few google searches but couldn't find anything.

Anyone ever hear that before?

I can't remember the last time I saw an ice cream truck driver.

We have one guy that drives down my street every night from April-September.

I don't even understand how these guys make money, with the ridiculous gas prices and all. Also, listening to that music for hours on end has to get old quick, right?

Personally I think you gotta be half a pedophile to do that job. Like being a mall santa at Christmas.

We have an ice cream truck that goes thru the black neighborhoods. White people buy their ice cream at the Piggly Wiggly.
