I love Jerry Jones as an owner, as a GM I do not care for him as much.

Jerry seems to love the high profile skill position players, but you can`t build a house on a weak foundation.

I like Dez Bryant but with Austin, Roy and Witten all entering their prime and signed he was a luxury pick.

Jerry seems to have trouble finding the correct combination of players. We have talent, but too much talent in some positions and not enough at others. The balance of the team is off.

Will Jerry ever...ever think about bringing in a football guy as a GM to run things? It would be in the best interest of the team and the fans for Jerry to take a step back and run the team like a Bob Kraft type of owner. A hands on owner who also lets people who know what they are doing run the football side of things. The time has come.

Pretty much.

It is like beating a dead horse. He'll never give GM duties to anyone else.

Why? JJ is a smart man and has to realize after 16 years that his way is not working.

This exact topic has been discussed for well over a decade. He sees it doesn't work but has too big of an ego to let up control.

It's like giving the keys to a Jaguar up to some stranger, it won't happen.

Believe me I want him to, but he won't.

He's the problem in that he will never let football be the primary focus around the Cowboys.

Best bet is for all the years of loose living suddenly catches up with him . . . and Stephen Jones promotes Tom Ciscowski to GM.

Anyone see his postgame interview with Babe and Brad? He looks like a confused old man.

If you want to separate Jerry into two parts, This is my thoughts on it.

The fact that owner Jerry Jones endorses GM Jerry and has kept GM Jerry for 20+ years, well that makes owner Jerry Jones even more of a problem.

How can you call him a great owner if he continues to employ a GM who hasn't done shit since the owner forced Jimmy Johnson out?

I agree 100%. He knows how to market the team and make money, but he needs to stay off the field.

Orrrrr...

They would get to the playoffs so many times and still not win the big dance. Then FINALLY they would get there, get some BS calls their way and win a Lombardi.

Yep, I am good with that.

What I am not good with is having another "enemy" coaching the Cowboys. What's fucking next? Joe Gibbs coaching. ? Fuck that.

There's a handful of coaches who I wouldn't mind coach here next year.

I want Cowher, but if it doesn't happen then I just hope it's someone who can motivate this team and be a disciplinary coach.
