Supposedly GB asst head coach/defensive asst Winston Moss will be interviewed this week for our HC opening.

Moss has worked for Capers now a couple of yrs, and Capers supposedly thinks very highly of him. We know Garrett intended to hire Capers as his DC when he was offered the Baltimore and Atlanta jobs, and Garrett was part of the reason they were going to add Capers to our staff 2 yrs ago, when Wade said no because it might hurt Brian Stewarts feelings.

I think its possible Garrett asked Capers for advice on DC's, and Capers may have recommended Moss. If they interview him for the HC position, they can do it this week. They can probably get a verbal yay or nay on whether he's take the DC job now, and then hire him once Green Bay's season is over. Otherwise they have to wait to talk to him about asst coach jobs when their season is complete. And if they wait and dont get Moss, then they might miss out on some other potential coaches too.

Fuck, he's already Assistant HC. Gonna be hard to pry him away as DC here. GB can just offer him more money.

Actually Capers was the one that declined because of Stewfart. Stewfart was asked to how he would feel if Capers came on baord as a defensive assistant, and Stewart said he would be uncomfortable with that. Capers had mentioned that he worked with Stewfart and had respect for him and when he caught wind of it, that is when he declined. The asshole instead of looking as a first time DC, with the opportunity to learn and run the 3-4 from both Wade and Capers, chose to act like a bitch and felt threatened because he wanted to be on the fast track to an HC position ala Mike Tomlin. It couldn't have sat well with him, that as a DC he was making around $300,000/yr. and Garrett making $3,000,000/yr. Now the bitch is out of the NFL, and is the DC for the U of Houston.

Interesting, and something to pay attention to. Is his contract expiring?

I think who Garrett hires to run his defense will have the biggest impact on how much success he has in Dallas.

Takes a great defense to win championships. Been proven. Not every time, but, sure helps. I just hope Dallas gets someone that will get the other teams attention and that makes Dallas a hard hitting team and not all finesse and cute like they have been.

Dallas needs the Nasty.

Like a Capers or Rob Ryan type defense.
