But damn, we sure picked the wrong RB in that '08 draft. Jamaal Charles is what Felix is supposed to be. Averaging 6 yards a carry and almost 10 yards a reception for his career so far.

Then there's Rashad Mendenhall, Ray Rice and let's not forget Chris Johnson.

Damn.

I try not to get caught up in this either, hindsight will always be 20/20, but how nice would Chris Johnson be?? Fuck.

And you actually think that those same players would have the exact same success HERE WITH THIS OLINE, as with their current teams? It's stupid to rue. Because it would be possible that if Felix was on thsoe teams doing as they are, and we had one of those players that you rue, and they are doing like Felix here, you'd be rueig about not having Felix. LOL!!!

I don't think you can actually judge Felix.

He's handicapped by a terrible offensive line, and a coaching staff/GM who insist on justifying a bad contract with unwarranted playing time (Barber).

None of those backs would have the same production here. Not a single one.

I am still pissed about Steven Jackson. But, who cares. His talent would of been wasted in Dallas like others will be.

We could have drafted Chad Jackson in the 2nd round instead of picking up Austin Miles as a FA ...

or we could have drafted Kyle Boller, Dave Ragone, Chris Simms, Seneca Wallace, Brian St. Pierre, Brooks Bollinger, Kliff Kingsbury, Ken Dorsey like the other NFL teams instead of signing Romo as a FA.

It's true, Emmitt is a perfect example of a good offensive line.

I mean he was fast and knew where to find the holes, but there isn't any on this line.

If he were to try and run behind the line we have today, it would be embarrassing.

The key to Emmitt's success was his hard work and his vision. He wasn't fast. He was deemed too small and too slow coming out of College. Those "O-lines" were so "GooD", explain why Highsmith, Sherman Williams, Curry and more all sucked behind them. Did the O-line just "all of a sudden" get good when Emmitt was in there? I think not.

It's a combination. The Dallas O-line sucks, and Dallas still doesn't have a LEGIT RB.

Well it took forever for Garrett to utilize Felix because up until a few weeks ago, he sucked at blitz pickups. So part of his lack of success has been on him too.

I do not know where you got this idea that Emmitt was fast. Far from it. In fact that was one of the knocks against him coming out of college as with Walter Payton. And Emmitt made the Oline better than what it was.

Emmitt was quick, not fast. He could accelerate through a hole with the top backs in the league, he just lacked another gear from there.

Watch some of his highlights from the first half of his career. He was quicker than I remembered him being.

But he had everything else. Vision, power, balance, heart. All in spades. He could block and catch. The only thing he couldn't do is run away from you.

We actually agree on something. There's hope for you yet. lol

------------

Look at it this way...we barely run and when we do, our run offense is predicated on the draw. You think Chris Johnson, Mendenhall and Rice could succeed behind something like that?

DING ! DING! DING! WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!!!!

I liked the draw play when it was used to throw the other team off guard. I don't like it as a common play. This team needs to get the nasty back on the O-line and in the RB position. Get some mothers that just maul and smother the other team, and then let the RB do his thing.

I should of been more precise, he was quick to the hole like somebody else mentioned in this thread.

He wasn't exactly slow, but man he could make you miss and find the open lane.
