If toughness enters the decision-making process, left guard Kyle Kosier and right tackle Marc Colombo have good chances of returning to the Dallas Cowboys' starting lineup for Sunday's home opener against Chicago, offensive line coach Hudson Houck said today.
Colombo and Kosier both returned to practice after being out since mid-August because of injured right knees. Houck said the telling physical responses will be their quickness and ability to adjust to movement on the defensive line.
Houck had no doubt both will be able the handle the mental task of returning from an injury.
``I anticipate the mental part will be easy for them,'' Houck siad. ``They won't be afraid to move because of the injury. They've both had injuries before, so they know how you come back from them. Many times, players coming back from injury are a little cautious.''
The Cowboys have a clear need for Colombo and Kosier. The club has won 23 of the last 30 games in which Kosier and Colombo were able to play from start to finish.
