IRVING -- Recently re-signed Cowboys offensive lineman Montrae Holland played well enough Sunday to solidify the team's starting left guard position, coach Jason Garrett said Monday.
Veteran offensive lineman Derrick Dockery, who started at left guard in Week 2 at San Francisco before suffering a right leg injury, could return to practice Wednesday. Dockery said Monday he's feeling fine after recovering from a slight fracture to his right tibia and a sprained MCL in his right knee against the 49ers.
Holland started in place of rookie Bill Nagy at left guard against St. Louis. Nagy broke his right ankle the previous week at New England and is out for the season. Holland paved the way for Murray's record rushing day.
"He just was really solid," Garrett said. "It was an impressive performance by him
