SAN ANTONIO -- Cowboys defensive end Jason Hatcher practiced for the first time Thursday night after recently re-signing with Dallas and he said he's not yet in football shape but will be OK.
Hatcher said he's trying to learn new defensive coordinator Rob Ryan's system while on the go. He called it "kind of stressful."
Hatcher said he loves the new defense.
"We were in a meeting and he told me to go make plays like I used to do in college, tee off the ball, and he'll give me an opportunity to play like I used to play," Hatcher said, "so I'm very excited that he believes in me. It makes me want to play harder for a coach.
"We're working toward one goal and that's the Super Bowl."
