Rick Gosselin, pro football columnist for SportsDayDFW.com and The Dallas Morning News , answered questions on Thursday. Here are some highlights:

How can the NFL explain five Cowboys in the Pro Bowl? Seems strange that a 5-win team can lead the conference in players selected, and four are starters.

I put no stock in the Pro Bowl. I haven't since the early 1980s. It's no longer credible. The best players from that particualr season don't always get in. It's a popularity contest and too often the guy who went the previous year gets voted back the following season. When you inject the fans into the voting process, that gives the Cowboys a huge edge. This is, afterall, "America's Team." The fans account for a third of the voting. So in good years they get 13 players (2007) and in bad years they get five.

If one of the top two CB's (Peterson or Prince) is available, should the Cowboys take one of them?

Depends what else is there. Take the best player. If the best player on your board is a cornerback, take him. I expect both of those corners to be Top 10 picks. So they will be in the mix. I'd look at the best offensive linemen, the best safety, the best linebacker, the best corner and take the highest rated player on my board.

Any word on what Holmgren is doing? Would he ever come to Dallas?

I'd be surprised if Holmgren returns to the sidelines. Life is better as a club president. He's won a Lombardi Trophy and taken two teams to a Super Bowl. It's not like he has something to prove by coming back.

I love how they titled this.

As if a defensive back was the biggest need on this team.

Corner whores.
