What a shit year. Really.

The flukey ways we lost to the Jets, Lions, and Cardinals. The gutwrenching losses to New England and the Giants (v1). The complete lack of competitiveness we displayed versus the Eagles, twice.

I am so glad this year is over.

We were a much worse team in 2010, but at least during that season, it became obvious we were a very bad team by the end of the first month of the season. And that season was even achored with hope as we got to see a horrible head coach shitcanned mid-season.

But this year was worse. We were competitive until the end. We were in the drivers seat in the end. And the dying homer inside me always came up with excuses. "We could play with the Saints and Packers. We're better than our record, because we lost flukey games." That's what I'd tell myself.

I even bet a Steelers fan lunch that the Cowboys would go farther into the playoffs than would the Steelers. Thankfully, he forgot about that. Fuck you, I don't feel like buying you lunch.

This year sucked. And watching the New York FUCKING Giants win it all makes it worse.

Truth be told, I'm largely indifferent on the Giants. I don't hate that team as much as I hate the Eagles or Redskins. Just certain players.

Can't stand Tuck, or Jacobs, or Dumbface. I hate Coughlins beedy little eyes and pointy nose.

So now, the season is over. I'm ecstatic.

Bring on Free Agency. Bring on the draft. Bring on mini-camps and OTA's.

I'm ready for 2012.

I'm ready for the ****** little homer that lives inside me to get all optomistic and shit, oblivious to the fact that this team will fail me yet again when the real games are played.

Once I start going all dbair up in this bitch, telling everyone how the Cowboys are the best team in the NFC (this'll probably happen sometime in late March)... just link this thread and tell me to STFU.

Fuck Jerry. Fuck Dallas. And fuck all of you.

Go Cowboys

As frustratingly cliched and simplistic as it is, this game came down to two big plays and a smattering of luck. When Wes Welker got open up the seam for a huge play with 4:06 left in the fourth, a catch might have sealed the game for the Patriots. If Welker went on to score a touchdown, the Pats would have led by 10 points with four minutes (and one Giants timeout) to go. Only the Cowboys can blow that kind of lead to the Giants.

Guess what Garrett would have done in that sitaution? He would have sat on those 2 points and called three straight run plays and then punted. I admire Belicek in that he knew that with the amount of time left, that he could not sit on those 2 points and he was going for the TD. Garrett preaches like all coaches, of the importance of playing for 60 minutes... well how can you expect the players to adopt that mentality, when the HC does not coach for 60 minutes?

Fuck Jerry. Fuck Dallas. And fuck all of you.

Go Cowboys

And you,Sir.
But,seriously,Mid,I couldn't agree more.
2011 sucked balls all the way around in the NFL world, and the Cowboys sucked the biggest balls.
It seemed every time the Boys had it on the line, just needed that one completion, defensive stand,or for fuck's sake, calling timeouts properly, they screwed the pooch.
I flashback to that week 17 game against the Giants, and our defensive guys still didn't seem to know their assignments.
WTF?
So,yeah,fuck this shit.
At least until free agency starts.

Yep. But thankfully we had those 13 years prior to these last two.

I didnt find -03,05, 06,07 miserable. I really enjoyed those years even though we had some really difficult losses and came up short, the seasons were still alot of fun. I thought anyway.

It's becoming a common occurence where offseasons become much funner than Cowboy regular seasons.
