New York Giants tight end Kevin Boss was asked Monday about the Cowboys' 1-4 record.
He told the New York Post, "Oh, man, I'd be very surprised. I still can't believe they're 1-4 with all the talent they got on that team. Something's not right there, but we definitely know they're still a very good football team."
When asked if the Giants could give the Cowboys a knockout punch on Monday night's game at Cowboys Stadium, Boss said, "It might be too early to call it that, but it definitely would help.
Monday "gives us a great opportunity to put some more distance between the two of us. If we can go there and put them to 1-5 and us go to 5-2, it's going to be very beneficial when we get close to December and January."
Chris Canty, the former Cowboys defensive end who came to the Giants last year, would not comment.
"I'm not answering any questions about the Dallas Cowboys this week," Canty said in a loud voice. "How about that? All right."
The Giants have won four of their last five games against the Cowboys.
