The Giants have lost yet another player for the season.
The team placed wide receiver Michael Clayton on injured reserve, after he tore his meniscus in practice this week. Originally, he was listed as questionable on the injury report.
Clayton wasn’t a huge contributor to the Giants, but the team’s wideout group may already be depleted Monday night if Mario Manningham doesn’t suit up. Wideout Domenik Hixon was put on injured reserve a long time ago.
The Giants could desperately use a win in New Orleans. The Packers head to the Meadowlands next week, and the Giants are at risk of digging a hole to climb out of down the stretch in the NFC East.
