Two important components of the Cowboys' defense went missing in the first half. Linebacker Sean Lee and safety Gerald Sensabaugh each were knocked out of the game in the second quarter after suffering concussions. Sensabaugh, who made an interception and a sack, will have to pass a series of tests before he is cleared to return.
So will Lee, who was hit on a kickoff that followed a field goal by David Buehler. Lee said he was dazed and didn't realize what had happened until he had a conversation with linebacker Keith Brooking.
"I don't even remember walking off the field," Lee said. "On the sideline, I looked at Brooking after the series and said `How did I do?'"
Brooking's response: "You didn't make it in, buddy."
Lee has overcome injuries to his quadriceps and hamstring in his rookie season. Most recently, he has been bothered by a bruised left shoulder. Now, he is dealing with a head injury.
"I was out of it a little bit," Lee said. "But I feel good now and should be good on Saturday."
