Cowboys beat writer Brandon George answered your questions in a chat Tuesday. Here are some highlights.

Comment From romo2bryant ... Why can't Jason Garrett be accountable for play calling in the 4th quarter and not calling plays that he knows will put Romo is situations where he might throw an int?
Brandon George (Twitter: @dmn_george): Jason Garrett said Monday that he wishes he would have called more running plays with a big lead in the second half Sunday. Jerry Jones said the same thing this morning. The fact is that the Cowboys don't trust their running game right now to consistently move the football. But with a big lead, you still have to run the clock.
Comment From chadd ... What will JJ do now that he sees that Antonio Ramiro Romo really isn't the answer for the Cowboys? And please don't say he is because 1 playoff game isn't worth talking about and keep his rating because it want win ballgames!!!!!
Brandon George (Twitter: @dmn_george): Jerry Jones still believes that Tony Romo is the answer. I'm not sure he'll ever be more than a good regular-season quarterback. The last two seasons he's played every game, the Cowboys have won the NFC East title. But can he push this team to a Super Bowl? I would say the answer is no.
Comment From Gus ... Should the Cowboys tank to try to get Andrew Luck?
Brandon George (Twitter: @dmn_george): The Cowboys won't tank. At least not intentionally. Jerry Jones still has to sell tickets and fill up that new stadium. This franchise has too much pride to tank. But the Cowboys need to start thinking about drafting another QB. With Jon Kitna possibly retiring after this season and Stephen McGee's contract up, and of course Romo's struggles, drafting a QB has to be a priority for the Cowboys this season.
Comment From Trey ... Is Martellus Bennett a good blocker? I want to believe he's good at something. With Austin out and Bryant sometimes out, this was his audition. Did Dallas look for him the last two games much?
Brandon George (Twitter: @dmn_george): Yes, Bennett is a great run blocker. Coaches always talk about how good of a blocker he is, but of course that might be more of a knock on his inconsistency catching passes. Bennett continues to drop passes his way, and many are just short, easy-to-catch passes. He lacks focus and it will eventually cost him his job here with the Cowboys.
Comment From Olag ... What were Dez Bryant and Jim Schwartz arguing about? And why did Dez disappear in the second half again?
Brandon George (Twitter: @dmn_george): They were talking about whether Dez made the catch along the sideline. Dez has disappeared in all three games late this season. So far, he has only two catches in the second half of three games this season. Bryant has been slowed by his deep thigh bruise, but the Cowboys have to do a better job of targeting him as a receiver in the second half. He's the team's best playmaker. You have to throw it his way more with the game on the line. Let him make a play.
Comment From Henry ... Have any players ever complained about having Jerry Jones on the sidelines? Who at school could do their work when the principal walks in?
Brandon George (Twitter: @dmn_george): No player has complained publicly about it. I would have to imagine that they talk among themselves about it and poke fun at it, at the very least. But I don't know that to be true. Jerry Jones pointed out this morning that he wants to be on the sideline to help him further evaluate his players and their passion for the game. But don't you trust your coaches enough to tell you those kinds of things where you don't have to go down to the sideline and become a potential distraction?
Comment From Mike Shaddox ... If the Cowboys miss the playoffs this year, will Romo be the starting Quarterback opening game 2012?
Brandon George (Twitter: @dmn_george): I would have to say yes. I believe the Cowboys are committed to Romo this season and through next season. I don't think Romo is going anywhere for the next few seasons unless the wheels just completely come off.
Comment From Luke ... Why is David Buehler still on the team?
Brandon George (Twitter: @dmn_george): That's a very good question. It looks like he's not needed any more, the way rookie Dan Bailey is handling kickoffs the last two games with David Buehler inactive because of a groin strain. The Cowboys will have to make a roster move after Week 6, when linebacker Bruce Carter comes off the reserve non-football injury list, and Buehler could be a likely cut if Bailey continues to perform like he has early in the season.
Comment From Mike Shaddox ... Would the Cowboys be interested in possibly going after Carson Palmer?
Brandon George (Twitter: @dmn_george): I can't see that happening. As I said before, the Cowboys are committed to Tony Romo this season and through next season. After that, anything is possible. But Jerry Jones isn't going to bench Romo anytime soon.
