He's taking up for inexcusable behavior such as Dez blowing up on the sidelines, and is defending the inexplicable reason why Choice isn't in for Barber, who is clearly unproductive and sub-par this season.

I was hoping that we jettisoned that type of attitude of taking up for players, and defending dumb coaching decisions when we got rid of Wade.

I don't doubt that Barber remains on the field because of Jerry Jones. It's the only thing that makes sense.

If Garrett is truly taking his marching orders from Jerry, we're still f'd.

How many coaches in this league trip when their top players get frustrated on the sideline ????

I thought so, another non-story calm down until he get's his 1st arrest or throws a towel at Garrett Top.

He's not supposed to trip, but trying to trick the media and fans by explaining it all away is something he doesn't need to do either.

I'd say if Barber is still here next season, either Bob is right or Garrett is clueless on personnel.

The scary part with Garrett is Jerry really wants him to be the coach here.

Jerry wouldn't want a guy who would force him to give up some control.

So...yeah. Another puppet is highly possible.

Very possible, we can only hope that in those talks with Jimmy Johnson, Garrett was given some insight on how to deal with Jerry.

Nobody not even Parcells controlled Jerry like Jimmy did.

I don't agree with that. Jimmy was just the guy around while Jerry took over the team and had to get the financial ship corrected. He's also the guy who had it written in his contract that he had the authority over all personnel matters.

Once Jerry got the books back in order, he got bored, decided he should run the team, and a dynasty was aborted.

Let's not forget that when we talk about this team. It's being led by a guy who "was miserable", his words not mine, while his team was becoming a dynasty.

That how big of an ego that lunatic has.

Jimmy really didn't control Jerry, he just acted belligerent towards him. And Jerry being the neophyte that he was back then, didn't know how to handle it. I don't think anyone will be able to control Jerry now with how he's positioned himself and the Cowboys.

You all make good points, but out of all of them Jerry is the biggest.

Jerry needs to grow a sac and fire himself, then hire a real GM.

I'm officially done with Garrett.

Bring in some change that includes Jerry shutting his F'ing mouth for good. Can't stand to listen to him, or the site of him.

That's my only problem with JG as well.

That Jerry is still controlling the coach from his luxury box.

Strings are still attached.
