Four Cowboys coaches entered the offseason with expiring contracts: wide receivers coach Ray Sherman, quarterbacks coach Wade Wilson, tight ends coach John Garrett and kicking coach Chris Boniol.
Although the staff hasn't been finalized, Wilson, Garrett and Boniol are part of the Cowboys contingent at the Senior Bowl this week -- an indication all three will be back.
Sherman, however, is not in attendance this week and is not expected to return in 2011.
Head coach Jason Garrett was asked about Sherman's departure after Tuesday's Senior Bowl practices.
“The only thing I’ll comment on that is I appreciate everything that Ray did for us over the last four years," Garrett said. "He certainly did a very nice job for us. Sometimes you just go in different directions and that’s what happened here. We’re excited about what he did for us and certainly where his future’s going to be.”
The Cowboys have not named Sherman's replacement yet.
