Garrett building ties to SEC

Dallas Cowboys' coach Jason Garrett is spending some of his lockout time building bridges to SEC coaching staffs.

Garrett on Friday was the featured speaker at LSU's clinic for coaches. Garrett is also scheduled to speak at a similar gathering, beginning on Thursday, at Tennessee.

The speaking engagements are not pure altruism by Garrett. In return for his appearances, Garrett gets an extra insight into players available for the coming NFL draft and also can tap these connections for information in the future.

Now would Wade do something like this? Even if you are not a Garrett fan, you have to like the due dilligence he is undertaking to establish himself as an inside player.
