From todays Lunch Break on dallascowboys.com, they disclosed quit a bit of negative info on Dez:

1) He has been late often to meetings and been fined (a concern coming from college)
2) He has a short attention span
3) He does not work (study and learn) as hard as he could and should (aside from the time he's missed due to injury) and is therefore not as involved in the offense as he could and should be
4) He was screaming at players "to step up" after the Giants disaster

They tempered all the negative stuff by pointing out he's still a tremendous talent who he does run hard during practice. Basically, they chalked it up to a coddled high drafted rookie who has to learn the pro game.

Still a bit concerning because we heard nothing about the lateness issue and the working hard issue.

I agree that #4 is a good thing. Though I doubt it goes over very well being a rookie.

But being late to meetings is not acceptable. This is the reason a guy with his talent was there when we picked.

Players have been late to meetings for years with these puppets (excluding Parcells). I hear Chris Warren used to get something out of the coke machine before he walked in late.
