I really would like to see Nicks on the team but I just don't think it will happen.
So instead of looking for a G in Free Agency, I think maybe the better route would be looking for a C.
There are some good Cs available here soon.
Packers
Houston
San Diego
All three of the centers that play for those teams is available and they all graded out top 12.
One graded out the best, I think the C for Houston, IIRC. Green Bays C came in at #4.
Just looking at the pay to each position, snagging a center and putting DeCastro or the #2 G square in the crosshairs might be more feasible.
I looked it up a while back so I may not be correct but I think the yearly average for the Top 5 centers between G and C is a couple million apart. I think Top 10 Gs make like 5M and Top 10 Cs make like 3M.
Of course, we're talking about potentially signing the best that each position has to offer but there's no way signing a C would be more costly than signing Nicks.
Thoughts?
