Dallas Morning News writer Gerry Fraley chatted with fans and answered questions about Sunday’s game on Monday, including issues with the offensive line and the offense. Here are some highlights:

Did Dez Bryant show he was capable of handling the starting job?

No. The offense force-fed the ball to Bryant, and he averaged only 7 yards per catch. NFL defenders tackle much better than Big 12 defenders.

Is a hobbling Colombo better than Barron?

Not to parse, but depends on how hobbled Colombo is. He's a mauler and a brawler and will do all he can, but remember the job Minnesota's Edwards did on him in the playoffs last year.

Do you think Jerry Jones will address the offensive line and kicker issues now and try to bring somebody in?

Jerry said last night that he has no plans to bring in a new kicker. As for the OL, there's not much on the street at this time of the year. The time to fix an OL is in the off-season.

How many penalties were called against the Cowboys last night, and how did that overall affect our game?

15 called and 12 accepted. Obviously, any penalty disrupts a drive or helps the opponent. The old hidden yardage theory of Bill Parcells.
