The Dallas Morning News Cowboys writer Gerry Fraley chatted with fans and answered questions on Monday. He discussed various topics such as the Cowboys kicking situation and Tony Romo's future with the team.

Here are some highlights:

On if the Cowboys will keep David Buehler next season:

Fraley: Yes, but he'll have competition next summer in camp. Buehler has ability. He must learn to slow down. He gets in trouble on kicks by hurrying. that's born of being emotional.

On why Marion Barber reacted the way he did after his touchdown last Saturday:

Fraley: He's a selfish player who delights in drawing attention to himself. Marion Barber should be the first player out of the room after this season. ... He carries himself in a very unprofessional manner. I've been around athletes who refuse to talk to the media, such as Steve Carlton. He respected my right to do a job, and I respected his request for privacy. He was a gentleman. I respect Barber's refusal to talk to the media, but he shows no respect for us. He tries to be disruptive when other players meet their professional obligations.

On if Tony Romo still has a future with the Cowboys:

Fraley: Yes, very much so. Tony Romo is a quality quarterback. My guess is he learned much from sitting back and watching how Jon Kitna handles an offense and a locker room. If Romo can pick up on Kitna's leadership skills, he'll be the better for it.

On if Sean Lee takes over a starting linebacker spot next year:

Fraley: Not sure. Lots to like about Sean Lee, but he got run over at the point of attack again on Saturday night. He needs an off-season in Joe Juraszek's strength-and-conditioning program.

Fraley is right that Barber needs to be cut loose . . . but it's because he's ineffective and overpaid . . . not because he makes Fraley's job harder.

Maybe next season Tony will take it to another level. MVP style.

That would be awesome, but the only way he can is if Jerry get's him the much needed protection on the offensive line.

There will be enough free agents and draftees to at least get this line going in the right direction.

You know something... if Barber would take a pay cut and agree to be the FB, I could be alright with him staying. Give him 3-4 touches a game with running and receiving. He'd make a better FB than Gronkowski.

I would too but he won't, he would need to gain some of his old weight back too...

Gronkowski is just plain sorry and doesn't seem to have that destroy attitude that FBs usually have.

Barber knocked the shit out of the Card's DE 6'7 290lb Campbell while Gronkowski was getting killed by A.Wilson and other LBs/Dbs straight up..
