Gerry Fraley, writer for The Dallas Morning News and SportsDayDFW.com, answered your questions on the Rangers and Cowboys on Monday. Here are some highlights:
Does Jerry Jones know by making the offensive line better, he can make the skill positions look that much better? Aren't championship teams strongest up the middle?

That's the way it usually goes, but Jerry is enamored with star players. He believes offensive linemen can be, built but there are only a few stars.

Would you like to see the Cowboys use the Wildcat formation more often?

I hate it. Too gimmicky. Bad things can happen when gimmicks are used. Just run the ball.

Why don't the Cowboys use Felix Jones more?

They need to find ways to get more out of him. Nine touches a game is not enough. If it's that way, put him back on kickoff-return duty. I think there is an overriding fear of injury if he is used for more than 10 plays. Thought Jones' performance when extended at the end of last year changed that thinking, but that does not seem to be the case.

When Tashard Choice gets a chance to play, he does well. Why is he third on the depth chart at running back?

To be honest, Tashard Choice has not shown much this year since the start of camp. That said, he has done well in the past. Choice's problem is that he does many things well but nothing at an elite level. The Cowboys believe Marion Barber is an elite power back and Felix Jones is an elite big-play back. I disagree on both counts, but that's why the Cowboys give them the majority of carries.

Does the fact that the Cowboys have Keith Brooking playing all three downs means Jason Williams is a bust?

He's getting to that stage. The Cowboys had hoped Williams, not Sean Lee, could spell Brooking. Williams too often seems lost in coverage. He got in for two plays vs. Houston, and the Texans hit the Cowboys with a big play.
