Four Players Signed To Futures Contracts

IRVING, Texas -- The Cowboys on Monday signed four practice squad players to their future/reserve list for training camp next year: defensive tackle Robert Calloway, linebacker Orie Lemon, wide receiver Teddy Williams and cornerback C.J. Wilson.

Calloway, Lemon and Williams spent essentially the entire season on the practice squad. Wilson, a former Baylor standout who previously spent time with Carolina, signed on Dec. 13.

I wish we'd sign Deunta Williams. Let him have access to a NFL training room and see if can recover from his injury.

In light of this news, I see us winning at least 14 games next year.

Calloway is mildly intriging. He's an athletic big body, but of course, raw.

Lemon is a guy who I think ends up taking one of the back up ILB positions in 2012, helping replace James and Brookings. I was actually suprised he was never called up this past year.

lemon needs to become the 4th inside linebacker next year and be a special teams guy.

Yup, wouldn't mind seeing that depending on who we bring in next year. I think the guy can definitely play though.

I wanted Williams as well. With his Butch Davis connection, I thought we would have had a inside track to him. Davis did recommend Carter.

Mario Butler was another. I thought he had a much better camp than Ball, but then Ball went and had that pre-season game against the Vikings where he recovered a fumble for a TD, and he was keopt for that reason, or so it seemed.

I was a fan of Mario as well. Not sure why he was never given a chance this season.
